CARPRO states 2 ~ 5 years, Adam’s states 7+ years, and Ceramic Pro states that the strongest DIY ceramic coating is only expected to last about 2 to 3 years maximum. Chemical Guys’ maintenance guide (updated June 30, 2026) says that without maintenance most ceramic coatings degrade within 1 to 2 years, and that monthly treatments extend protection to 3 to 5 years depending on environmental conditions.
