One catch that most summaries miss: Sam’s Club installs only tires you bought from Sam’s Club. The help center says it does not mount new tires bought from another store or online seller. It will still repair flats, check pressure and offer paid rotation and balancing on tires from elsewhere.

Two details matter. First, road hazard protection is a pro-rated credit, not a free tire: a tire with most of its tread left costs little to replace, and a worn one costs more.
